His record of 762-202 puts him 11th all time in victories and 10th all time in career winning percentage (79.0 percent). Tarkanian's UNLV teams in the late 80s and early 90s were stunning displays of talent and athleticism, led by Larry Johnson, Greg Anthony, and Stacey Augmon. They won the NCAA championship in 1990. He later went on to coach Fresno State University for seven years.
