 | Recorded live at Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada in May 1953 by Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Charlie Mingus, Max Roach and Charlie Parker (named here Charlie Chan for contractual reasons) - this was the only time these five legends of modern jazz recorded together as a unit! The recordings were originally released as two 10 inch LPs (Debut DLP-2 and DLP-4, USA) in 1953. In Denmark they were first issued as four EPs.
