 | A highly influential Dominican composer, musician, bandleader, arranger and record producer, born Juan Pablo Knipping Pacheco in 1935 in Santiago de los Caballeros, known as a leading figure in the New York salsa scene in the 1960s and 1970s. Early recordings with his band Pacheco y Sus Charanga. French Collection Loisirs reissue of "Que Suene la Flauta Vol III", Allegre SLPA 8110 (USA 1962).
