| A highly popular Mexican singer of rancheras, boleros and other form of traditional Mexican music, born Maria de Lourdes Prez Lopez in 1939 in Mexico City, known as "The Ambassador of the Mexican Song" and "The Voice of Mexico". With El Mariachi Monumental de Silvestre Vargas. Reissue of "La cancion Mexicana", Orfeon LP-12-380 (USA 1964), housed in a new cover. One of her very early albums.
