| A renowned American rock band, formed in 1972 in New York by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker with Denny Dias, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Jim Hodder and David Palmer. However, Baxter, Hodder, Dias and Palmer had all left the band by now. With e.g. Chuck Rainey, Larry Carlton, Hiram Bullock, Steve Khan, Rick Derringer, Mark Knopfler, Hugh McCracken, Joe Sample, Michael & Randy Brecker, Steve Gadd, Rick Marotta, Jeff Porcaro, Bernard Purdie and David Sanborn.
