| One of the giants of country blues, born Sam "Lightnin'" Hopkins in 1912 in Houston, Texas, USA. Recorded live in 1964 in a small 'beer-joint' in Houston called the Bird Lounge. Reissue of Ember NR 5024 (England 1965), released originally as Guest Star GS 1459 (USA 1964). Electronically re-channelled for stereo.
