Light brown labels. Large vertical red EMI logo on the left. Semi-glossy fold-out cover with a "pocket" inside. Light surface wear on each side (> top & bottom > middle). Some wear and small creases along the edges. Slightly worn corners, one on them (> bottom > left) being alsoa bit creased / bent. Finnish language sleeve notes inside.

An acclaimed Russian singer of gypsy music, born Raisa Udovikova in 1934 in Kursk, closely associated with the famous Russian gypsy theatre Romen. A rare Finnish only album, recorded in Helsinki with mostly local musicians. In English the title means "Raya - a Singer of Joy and Pain".
