 | Highly acclaimed experimental "jazz opera" recorded in 1968-1971. Composed by Carla Bley, lyrics by Paul Haines. Featuring e.g. Gato Barbieri, Charlie Haden, Michael Mantler, Enrico Rava, Paul Motian, Karl Berger, Don Cherry, Ron McClure, Don Preston, Jack Bruce, John McLaughlin, Chris Wood, Linda Ronstadt and Paul Jones. The labels actually credit the album to the Jazz Composers Orchestra. 2nd (I guess so) UK issue of JCOA 3LP-EOTH (USA 1972).
