| An important / influential American jazz musician, bandleader and composer, born John Lenwood McLean in 1931 in New York. Recorded by Rudy van Gelder in September 1964 with Charles Tolliver, Bobby Hutcherson, Cecil McBee and Billy Higgins. Slightly later mono pressing of his 16th or so Blue Note album, released in September 1967.
