| A legendary Afro-Cuban Latin jazz percussionist and bandleader, born in 1922 in Havana, Cuba, moved to New York in 1950. With e.g. Hubert Laws, Chick Corea, Nat Adderley, Pat Patrick, Jimmy Cobb, Carmelo Garcia and Paul Serrano. 1976 stereo reissue of "Go, Mongo!", Riverside RS 9423 (USA 1962) and "Mongo Explodes", Riverside RS 93530 (USA 1966).
