Other information & picture:
One of the few early 1960s British groups to initially challenge The Beatles in popularity. Formed in Liverpool during the late 1950s, disbanded in 1966. Soundtrack of the film "Ferry Cross the Mersey". Altered US stereo issue of Columbia SCX 3544 (England 1965): the 9 Gerry & The Pacemaker tracks are the same but "I Gotta Woman" by The Black Knights, "Shake a Tail Feather" by Earl Royce & The Olympics and "Why Don't You Love Me" by The Blackwells have replaced "I Love You Too" by The Fourmost, "All Is Quiet on the Mersey Front" by George Martin & Orchestra and "Is It Love" by Cilla Black. Also the cover design is completely different.
