 | Originally an excellent American jazzy / progressive brass-rock band, becoming soon a highly succesful AOR / pop-rock outfit. Formed originally in 1967 in Chicago as The Big Thing, moved in 1968 to Los Angeles and soon changed their name to Chicago Transit Authority, shortened to Chicago after the eponymous debut album in 1969. UK issue of Columbia KC 31102 (USA 1972). Their 5th album, the first single full-length release, after three double albums and a 4-LP box set of live material.
