A highly succesful American songwriter and session guitarist, born in 1938 in Brady, Texas, best remembered for hit songs written for Merle Haggard, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Gene Watson & co. His 1st solo album, including the 1970 hit "Is Anyone Goin' to San Antone" written in 1967 with Glenn Martin. Produced by Pete Drake.
