 | A renowned American jazz trumpet player and bandleader, born in 1911 in Parsons, Kansas. Two side-long jam sessions recorded in December 1953, with Joe Newman (trumpet), Urbie Green & Henderson Chambers (trombones), Lem Davis (alto sax), Julian Dash (tenor sax), Charlie Folwlkes (baritone sax), Sir Charles Thompson (piano), Freddie Green (guitar), Walter Page (bass) and Jo Jones (drums). UK reissue of "Huclebuck & Robbin's Nest", Columbia CL 548 (USA 1954). Mono issue in the CBS Realm Jazz series.
