 | A well-know American band leader and conga player, widely credited as the godfather of Latin Jazz, born in 1929 in Brooklyn, New York from Puerta Rican parents. His first charanga (Cuban dance music popular in the 1940s) recordings, taken from his debut album "Charanga Moderna", Tico S(LP) 1087 (USA 1962).
