| An important American jazz pianist, born in 1912 in Austin, Texas, well remembered for his work with e.g. Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzerald, Benny Goodman and Lester Young. A total of 12 songs composed by George Gershwin, including e.g. "Oh, Lady Be Good", "I Got Rhythm", "The Man I Love", "Bess, You Is My Woman Now" and "Summertime". As Teddy Wilson and His Trio, featuring Arvell Shaw on bass and Bert Dahlander on drums. UK mono issue of Columbia CL 1318 (USA 1959).
