A renowned American soul / rhythm & blues singer and songwriter, born Eugene Dixon in 1937 in Chicago. The title track was recorded in 1961 while Chandler was still a member of the Dukays but released as Gene Chandler's 1st solo single, making No. 1 in both the American pop and rhythm & blues charts. Reissue of Fontana TL 5247 (England 1965), released originally as Vee Jay SR 1040 (USA 1962). His 1st album.
