Other information & picture:
"These songs were born during the dark periods of World War II in the ghettos of Poland, Ukraine and Belo-Russia. Some of the music is based on local folksongs... The singing couple, Seela and Elis Sella, have appeared for sold-out houses in Finland presenting Jewish songs and poetry... All the songs are in Yiddish except the Jewish partisan song "Zog nit keinmol", which has been uniquely translated into Finnish by the wellknown poet Arvo Salo.. This record is a tribute to those people, who during the hard times of Worl War II had strength to believe in love and future and thus created popular culture - songs for all to sing."
